LEGO Movie 2 Minifigures
-
Bought a batch of new Minifigures the other day and did pretty good on my guessing though some of them are a little tricky. Dorothy's hair is rubber and that threw me off but I bought it anyway because I didn't know what it could be and I had to know! Ended up with 2 cat ladies which are easily mistaken for Dorothy if you don't know about Dorothy's rubber hair.
Oddly enough the Dorothy I got is missing her skirt... which is a little embarrassing for her I must say.
Also my Tin Man came with 3 bow ties and 2 hearts.
So I guess it sort of balanced out. I'll see if I can get a skirt from LEGO. I've got to contact them anyway regarding a couple busted gears from my candy conveyor belt.Anybody else have this issue with this batch?
-
@mybrickyard I haven't picked any up yet but I have heard that in the past folks were able to get missing pieces for the cmfs from LEGO Customer Service. The extra bowties and hearts are pretty sweet!
-
@mybrickyard hmm... old style tiny 8 tooth gears?
-
@sema4 the 8 tooth gears survived but it was the bigger old style 24 tooth gear.
It seems I can't get the skirt... so far... I'll need to phone and talk to someone.
It also seems that a person should not save all their broken parts for one order.
They cancelled my order as it had too many parts requested... weird.
-
@mybrickyard Wow weird.. I have had the tiny ones split due to over torquing, never the big ones! (guess you mean broken teeth rather than split)
-
@sema4 Nope, busted the inner cross out, the outer teeth ring is still intact.
-
@mybrickyard ah yes, ok I think maybe I have seen that happen too
-
@krista @sema4 So after discovering that you can't order replacement parts for the Collectible Minifigure series, I sent Lego Customer Service a direct email and they replied this morning confirming that they will send my Dorothy a replacement Skirt, Hooray!
Little weird that they say that they can't replace missing CMP parts but when you email them direct they are happy to do so.
Bit of a process but a positive end result.
Next project is to figure out if they will replace my busted parts...
-
@mybrickyard yes you do have to contact them direct via LEGO Customer Service plus that way it's free!
And yes, they replace broken pieces, though they may ask for photos and a description as to how they broke.
-
@krista no they have never asked for pics of the broken pieces in the past. I think I just did too many at once. It's always free through their Broken or Missing piece links.
-
@mybrickyard actually they have asked for photos in the past
